Mr. Duff
Mr. Duff is a native of Lubbock, Texas and is a proud graduate of Estacado High School. He received a bachelor of Music Education with a secondary choral emphasis from Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) located in Portales, New Mexico. He earned his masters of Music Education from Boston University.
During his time at ENMU, he was a member of all three ensembles including two audition ensembles that were limited in number by voice parts. One ensemble only allowed 5 people per voice part and another ensemble only allowed 2 per voice part. He traveled to several countries with these choirs including Africa, Germany, Italy, and China. He was also involved in many recruiting tours across New Mexico and Texas.
He is also active as a solo singer and has performed at many churches across Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico as a soloist for Handel’s Messiah. He has also competed in several voice competitions and been named as a finalist for competitions like the New Mexico Art Song Competition and National Association of Teachers of Singing competitions. Mr. Duff also spent some time studying and peforming opera for a year in Germany.
Prior to teaching at STEM, Mr. Duff led choirs at Highland Oaks Middle School in Memphis, TN and O.L. Slaton Fine Arts School in Lubbock, TX. All of the choirs at each school recieved numerous awards across distrcit, state and national levels.
